What kind of bloodwork can I request?

This routine test can help you track the way your body changes over time and make the right choices about your health and wellbeing. It is one of the most important and simple ways to overview your physical well-being.

You can get different types of blood tests with us, such as:

Body Mass Index of 30+ in adults, or 85%+ in children ages 12-17.

Blood count 

Red and white blood cells, hemoglobin and  hematocrit.

Chronic kidney disease, diabetes, or a medication or condition.

Basic or  Comprehensive metabolic panel (BMP or CMP)

Being 65+ years old

This age group has a  80 times higher death rate from Covid-19 than those aged 18-29.

Lipid panel

Checks levels of two types of cholesterol.

Being 55+ years with a chronic respiratory, cardiovascular disease, or hypertension.

 

 

Thyroid panel

Pregnancy

 

 

Blood sugar

Being 12-17 yrs old 

with Sickle Cell Disease, chronic respiratory disease, neurodevelopmental disorder, asthma, or medical-related technological dependence.

 

Sexually transmitted infection tests

You should get a blood test every 6 months to 1 year. Our health professionals will determine whether you need any blood tests during your physical exam.

Do all blood tests require fasting?

Not every test requires fasting, however fasting for 8-12 hours helps ensure that blood test results are not affected by these variables, making your test results as accurate as possible.
